Most live chat services provide you with the code to embed a chat button inside an email copy. This is very powerful in an email marketing campaign, as well as for personal emails, enabling the client to respond to an email straight away by engaging in a live chat.
It's not too complicated to implement and I would be happy to provide technical details from other services I've used.23 votes

Our agents tend to write quite technical, detailed answers. These work-in-progress responses are lost if the user disconnects for whatever reason.
Can the agent's message text please not be lost if the user disconnects. This enables the agent to copy/paste it into an email etc.1 vote
I use the posting of new page information within iFrames and with dynamic scripts. The actual document page doesn't change, but "where" the visitor is within the site does change. I would like to be able to the document tag title to a new name without the page reloading so the Tawk app sees the page title change.36 votes

On screen back button in the stand alone chat window on mobile devices is preventing us to use tawto in mobile applications
I am using tawkto standalone chat window in my android application using webview for customer support. There is a back button on the top left corner which is buggy and of no use. The page simply freezes if I hit that.
And yes, I know tawkto doesnt have Android API to integrate in apps but I am using this clever way of integrating using webview in app, this gets the job done upto some extent.16 votes

I currently have an issue where I'm trying to integrate an online contact form with tawk.to messages/tickets. The form gets sent from a default wordpress email address with the customer's email address passed through as the "reply-to" address. Tawk doesn't detect the reply-to address. Instead, it used the sender address. This makes it impossible to actually reply to tickets because tawk doesn't detect the right reply address.41 votes

Yes, it won’t work as you are trying to use the ticketing system in a way that it’s not supposed to be used yet.
We have had discussions that Visitors should be able to create tickets as well as Agents do but currently we only support Agents creating tickets.
We’re thinking about this but are not sure when development on this will start, though.
It would be great if we could just exclude one particular account from receiving offline notifications.3 votes

Our default Basic Site Notification Trigger will automatically fire a message to all pages of your website (both main and sub-pages) when a visitor is active on your site and does not initiate a chat within the first 30 seconds.
You can also create an Advanced Trigger to fire a second message if your visitor is still on the page after a time delay you specify.

One of our accounts claim that is very important to know how many seconds take to his staff to respond visitors from question to question. Currently it is only possible to know at what time and minutes visitor asked question and support provided an answer, but not possible how many seconds took from question to answer. Although 40 seconds seem to not be that long, it is an eternity while being behind a monitor... just a thought that should be difficult to add.1 vote

You can, however,share links, videos, and linked images in the widget with widget cards and modify widget behavior in your widget settings.
