  1. Add a Chat Room function, to allow guests to chat between themselves. This would provide a "social" dimension to the site.

    Allow Admin to set up Chat Rooms allowing guests to chat between themselves. Ideally over time extend to a more comprehensive solution where we can manage who gets access to which chatroom (eg. according to a cookie that gets set or an API call etc). The more programmatic access we have to create chatrooms and add users the better. Thank you for a great system!

  4. Allow specific start messages for toggleChat()

    This way we can develop an integrated system that opens a chat whenever we detect a problem - while at the same time telling the agent what the problem was.

    This would be particularly useful for AJAX type sites (like mine) that have continuous feedback with their servers.

    This is a wonderful idea but opens up a pandora box of so many things going wrong and it would have to be customized to every site. So currently we will improve our current integrations that could have some of this functionality.

  5. Develop a JSON API to Create Chat Rooms

    It would useful if there was a way to create a chat via API calls. I'm thinking chat room. It does not need to be fancy. If it simply returned an ID that could be inserted into the web page, allowing end users to define separate chat rooms for groups on their own site that would be excellent.

    As an example, let's say my site has 100 users. Those 100 users are split into 10 groups of 10. Each group being a different company. It would be nice when they logged into my site that I could give each group…

  8. Allow to change other peoples Roles

    I believe all Operators / Administrators should have the right to change peoples roles via their admin panel because someone could put a fake role e.g chief operating officer when infact their just support agent.

    Although this idea is good but it can become very annoying if you have to change the name of the role for 1000 Agents.

  9. Consider Web Based Workshops and Seminars through your service.

    Provide a service wherein I as a client of yours could do Web Based Workshops and Seminars through "tawk". I could post the availability of such on my Web Site and do so through the existing chat. Just a thought. Thank You.

  11. The latest release has the live visitor under monitoring. Which doesn't seems to be helpful. Older version was very helpful.

    In the older version, there was one dashboard wherin on the side bar I can see, all the live visitors plus the chats in progress. By this I can keep on screen open on my PC and can monitor the chats and can take any chat anytime. Also, I can a buzz sound on every new visits. Also, can see what other agents are writing on chat.

    Would be great if you revert back to older version.

    Monitoring required it’s own dedicated section, due to the number of new features we are launching.

    It was also not scalable to keep visitors in the sidebar for high traffic sites.

  12. Show status at a glance

    Have the tawk.to app's desktop icon (on Windows or Mac) change color when you're Online vs. Away vs. Invisible. I'm on my computer all the time, and often I forget to update my status.

  13. when offline you could also integrate with uservoice, so we can answer them late using uservoice

    the same way you do? it will be great like zopim does to integrate with user voice when offline, so we can answer our visitors late.

  15. We would like for the app to work on client side where when the user presses like, it shows up in their FB feed if they are logged into FB.

    We want when users like the chat that the like shows up in their Facebook feed, if the user is logged into Facebook. So for example, if Like is clicked it will say in their feed, that User Liked thier chat with xyzsite.com

  17. Would be great if somehow there was a history of visitors to site even in a graphic way so we could more easily target return visitors

    So much traffic is curious about the product on the website. We could generate a great database from this traffic if there was a way to record the history of visits, esp of return visitors. Only problem, if they don't add their email, no way to contact them.

  19. Resolve IP addresses to Host.

    I'd like to see who's online so I can phone them. If it's a business with a static IP address they'll likely be registered with Whois but good if Tawk did this step for me.

    In the Monitoring section you can see Visitor IP’s and you can use any online host resolve service to find the necessary information.

    Unfortunately we cannot detect such actions accurately because then it the widget would go offline even if you are working outside the web browser.
