    You can rename Visitors while you are chatting and in the Messaging section but we cannot 100% accurately detect if the returning Visitor is the same as some previous Visitor.

  2. Hello, Can I customize the bobble position in the website page

    Hello, I moved from Live chat with www.chatstack.com to tawk, it was giving along with the script an icon it shows that the agent offline "OFF" or online "ON" and it is a button when customer click on it, it will pop up the conversation at the bottom, I know the chat widget is showing that but also I need a noticeable button that I can place it anywhere at the page

    Thank you for the suggestion. We already offer different widget positioning for the widget already but we will not be offering the ability to add it to anywhere on the page in the near future.

    Only Agents can see Visitor country flags which is useful information. Visitors DO NOT see the country you are from.

    The prechat form is for collecting information about the Visitor and it forwards to a live Agent which can answer any questions.
    The offline form is meant to do what you imply and we will be updating it soon!

    Putting foul word limits on the textboxes in pre-form features. Thank you
    Since this is an internationally used freeware, giving the right to the dashboard admins to input the words that they think are foul.

    Thank you for the idea. We are currently not planning on allowing files to be sent via shortcuts but you can link to anywhere you’d like using the shortcuts.

  8. e-mail notification/alert feature

    I would suggest to add an e-mail notification/alert feature.
    Basically, when a user starts a conversation/chat on my website I receive an alert e-mail so can login in my twak.to account and be able to answer.
    This way I can be notified altough I am not logged in in my account at thet specific moment when the user writes.

    Hi Paolo,

    If you are not online, we show the email option but don’t say that there are Agents online when there are not. As this is live answering, it’s not live, if you are not online, right? :)

  9. Access Dashboard via API

    The Idea here is that we can access all the dashboard data using REST apis so that the user does not need to have 2 logins. one for main site and other to access the dashboard. Also we can show all the user information within a custom site and customers can have a better feel of this.

    We had experience where apps coded in this way tend to lag a lot so we decided to go native for Android and iOS. there will be new versions coming out in early Autumn.

  11. Firewall to restrict users access dashboard outside company.

    There are times when a company don't want agents to play foul on website visitors. We tested twak.to and we found that there is no way we can restrict a agent from logging outside company network. This allows them to login to dashboard and chat with our customer, doesn't matter if they have left the company or not even part of it. Agents can share password to competitors who can engage with our customers and misguide them.

    Firewall settings where Admin can define public ip or range from which his company profile can be accessed. This will allow one to…

  12. Can we link populate automatically the cookies from browser to this chat as an email id

    For ex: lets consider a visitor has given email and his details. Can we automatically ping him through chat saying Hi <NAME> and in the backend with the details of his Name & Email through cookies.

  15. Exit monitoring

    Exit monitoring is a hot feature you need to add.
    To increase the conversion rate, some sites are monitoring the user's mouse/navigation behavior. When the user does the movment to exit the site, the chat window will open with some message to retain the user like the modal popups in http://exitmonitor.com/

    Although this is a good idea, it’s not something we are planning on doing in the near future as that is a completely different area of Visitor retention. And, as you pointed out, there are currently services offering such functionality which you could combine with our Widget.

    Thank you for the idea. You can create a shortcut like “/end” which would send your desired message and then close the conversation manually.

    We will be revisiting notifications in the near future but the reasoning to not show that one notification forever is that we are limited to what the OS allows us. Also if you start getting 20 different conversations, your whole desktop would be filled with notifications that are not going away and that would be more annoying than if you have notifications appear when they come in.
