Choice to remove upload file option by admin
Hi,
can you add option in widget settings to allow or remove upload files for visitors
Thanks

Hi!
We have released new options under Widget Settings, including requested ’Disable file upload`.
Those options could be found in Admin – select required asset (widget) – Widget Settings.

Why not option to remove sent file. We mistakenly can send some important file or wrong file. You can add option to delete that file instead of showing it to end user ?

option is there but does not accomplish anything?

Allow the account admin to enable or disable the file upload feature in the widget. This is major security concern.

I agree ! And not just for the security but also because some service already have a plateform for file sharing with customers. A user could be confuse with 2 ways of sharing files as we want them to use our file sharing plateform.

This was some time ago. Will this update be rolled out soon?

one could harm a company by sending an infected file via the file transfer in the chat. Therefor there should be an option to disable file-transfer.

2 years later and zero movement on this relatively simple request? Unbelievable.

looking for an update??

I don't see how it's dangerous - files don't touch your website, and agents should not open unsafe or unexpected files anyway.

I need this option too :(

Do you find something like this but without that option?

Hi - has there been an update on this thread? We're worried about the same thing, especially with the latest cyber attack a few weeks ago. Although our agent can just not click the link - we would prefer to disable the feature altogether.

file upload should not be allowed...that too from an unknown source.
Very dangerous..this is the only reason I should stop exploring this and start looking for other alternatives.

Not sure how security is handled through tawk.to but I don't like the file upload feature. Today using the free service someone just randomly sent me a picture. What if it was a virus? I'd be happy if Tawk.To offered a turn on/off the file upload for safety and security of agents. Thanks in advance!

They do a great job I would like the one that has the option to deactivate the file upload and it would be perfect

It would be nice, if you can put in a Feature, that allows to deactivate the file Transfer and so on (print-button etc.).

chat is Macnifico, but I have the same problem does not seem a good idea to implement without this option to disable file uploads.

This can be a major Security risk with the amount of Ransomware availble today
