Desktop Notification configuration
Desktop notification should be configurable.
1>Length of time on screen should be adjustable.
2>Option to keep on screen until answered.
3>Re-notify agent when chat resumes from existing visitor instead of only once per session.
4>Re-notify of continuing chat when agent has multiple chats going.
Remember we all have other things (jobs) to do beside staring at the Tawk Dashboard.

Any progress on this?? - We do no have sound on our PC and we are missing chats and upsetting our customers.

It would be also nice if you could answer directly from a notification. U see a sticky bubble above your tray, there is a message from your client a directly below that there is a text area ready for your reply. Opening a full tawk.to window is an option.

Fully agree! I often miss a chat because of doing other job than sitting all the day in front of my monitor. Unfortunately there is no blinking popup, icon or whatsever in tray saying "Hay, U just having a conversation lamb!" Like others we don't have speakers at our working PCs.
This feature is vital. If you can't catch a chat, all other functionality is pointless.

We have missed several chats as our computers don't have speakers here and the notification we have a chat only stays up for 5 seconds. We are considering a move if we can't adjust this and make it more obvious when agents have the browser minimised We are a shop so sometimes agents are away from there desks dealing with customers. Hopefully this can be implemented soon.

100% agree. the notifications are easy to miss. I would love to have a settings feature available where you can set the desktop notification remains visible until the message is answered.

Please make a new feature for pop-up desktop notification to be more longer or adjustable. As it is very important for us to be more aware if there is an incoming live chat.

i definitly need a better system for notifications :)
i have no sound on my computer and i've been missign several chatsIs there any way to have a permanent notification on desktop?
The only desktop notification is the pop-up
in another system i tried (zopim), there is an option to have a notification popup near the clock. and it was possible to configure the time it stayed on
even possible to say "until i close the notification"
I have 2 or 3 screens, sometimes i can't see a notification on the other screen, especially if it stay only a couple seconds.so here are some good ideas from the others :

- Auto-Pop the Tawk Desktop App when a new chat is requested.- Flash the Tawk button orange (similar to skype) on the toolbar.

Guys, add the conditional chat forwarding please! If I can take a call withing 10-20 sec it would be great to forward to a specific person.

Right now you only have it for Admin's, but I don't want to give admin access to some agents, but that is the only way they will get desktop notifications

If someone is not able to use sound notifications, a large pop up notification which appears on the desktop when there's a new chat request, would be great.
The small one in the system tray could get missed easily.

Offer the ability for incoming chat desktop notifications to remain on the bottom of the screen until an agent clicks on the incoming chat to answer if they don't have their dashboard open.
This is particularly useful in certain server setups or hardware setups where sound notification is not possible.

Hello,
I'd like to suggest a feature, that should be relatively simple to program.
I would like to be able to see if a new chat is requested or a new message has been sent with a notification. For example when you receive a facebook message your top meta title says (1).
For the desktop app, over the taskbar icon it could show something similar (2).
Basically if a computer is muted and someone is not looking directly at the application that they are able to see, someone is trying to chat.
