Well is this feature implemented yet? I can't find it and it's necessary for my site.

ANONYMIZE is important for EU countries 123.123.123.xxx

I'd love to go so far as to be able to configure a feature similar to Google Analytics' "_anonymizeIP" setting in the widget embed code, which prevents the script from transmitting the entire IP address to tawk.to, but for example only the first three blocks (e.g. 123.123.123.[ANONYMIZED]).
Here in Germany, Data Protection laws are pretty strict upon IP addresses, and even though some people argue "An IP address is not different from a license plate - you cannot extract personal data from it without calling the police and raising a legal complaint", others argue that the IP address itself is already a momentum of protection-worthy personal data.
Geolocation should still be possible (although a little more inaccurate) with a shortened IP address, and that will still do for us.
@Peter, Sep 06 2016: This is not entirely correct, only the last block has to be hidden/shortened; see http://t3n.de/magazin/webanalyse-datenschutzkonform-betreiben-google-analytics-225835/: "Liegt keine Einverständniserklärung vor, muss man die IP-Adresse anonymisieren, also um ihre letzte Stelle kürzen."

@Admin, I believe that should be optional... don't you think? Who are you to say all IP addresses should be exposed to all agents?

I won't ever support this idea

Hello! In the future, is there any possibility for you to add an option that allows the admin to hide portions or the entire ip address of the visitor? The cookie law in Italy requires many procedures to acquire the permit of installing on a website a third party software that acquires informations about the user.
That would be very useful! Thank you! -

I really like Tawk & want to add agents (Right now I'm helping all my users via live chat) but don't want my customers to feel exposed with their IPs being shown to my agents. I don't want to fear adding new agents and have a possibility of them identifying a user they know then do something bad with their IP. I take my customer's security seriously.
Keep up the amazing work, Tawk. -

Let's say you don't want agents to view the customer's IP, you should be able to customize if you want it to show "Anonymous", maybe only show browser + country. (Maybe add options to show/hide those too would be nice?)
