Ability to turn off dynamic title
On new message, the tab title will now change to "NUM new message". It would be nice to have an option to disable it.

To All Our Valued Users,
Thank you for choosing tawk.to and for sharing your question here.
This function is currently available in your tawk.to Dashboard.
The ‘Disable browser tab notification’ setting stops alerts from showing up in the page title of your browser.
Follow the steps below to enable these settings:
1. Administration tab > Chat Widget
2. Notification Settings > toggle the ‘Disable browser tab notification’ to the on position

Still an issue. Steps to reproduce:
1. Go to Widget settings,
2. Disable browser tab notification,
3. On your website, focus on tawk chat window,
4. Focus back to your page,
5. Title changes. -

Even with this off, the widget will still change it to the original title. It breaks SPAs because the title changes after rerouting. When I go to another tab and then go back to the website, it sets the title to the first title of the page, not the one it was when I left it.

In the Widget settings.
Tick, Disable browser tab notification
This will then stop the Webpage Title changing to "1 new message" and retain the correct page tiitle for SEO. -

That can be disabled. Go to Admin > Widget Settings > Disable browser tab notification > Save

I have noticed that every visitor to our site get the 'New Message' browser tab notification after a few minutes. It would be great to have an option to disable browser tab notifications for trigger messages so the only people that get the browser tab notification are the guests currently engaged in an active chat with the agent.

I don't know if devs at tawk really gets it so I will explain - to reproduce the bug you just need to:
- enter to some SPA site (with "page-title-1")
- navigate to some page with dynamic title change (lets say to "page-title-2")
- focus on tawk chat window
- back to focus on the website
- tawk changes the title to "page-title-1" instead of leaving "page-title-2" as it should -

Anyone knows some workaround? An customer told me about this and I turned off chat immediately...

This feature is essential... I've just spent 3 days trying to debug an angular app where this exact issue was happening.

This "num of new message" even shows up when no agents are online and the widget are not showing...
"Disable browser tab notification" - this setting seems to this freak show... sadly there is no real description to the setting... So... not sure if it disable something usefull..

I agree... I had to turn off tawk on my website because of that.

I have a single page app with dynamic title changes and tawk is constantly changing the title to some old one (probably from initial page load). It's really terrible and frankly this is a problem that causes tawk to be totally useless on SPA sites... :(

This is the disaster for my local store SEO. All my efforts are destroyed. I have removed tawk services from WordPress site completely due to this...after getting the significant loss :(

For anyone still looking in to this, I think I have found a new setting in Widget Settings: Disable browser tab notification.
Which, I think, since turning on, has stopped the 1 new message title changes.

When are we likely to get a response about this?

Please be warned that Google indexed our webpages with altered Site Title! This is a SEO disaster! We are in the process of completely removing this service and I recommend anyone who cares about SEO to do the same.

Every second it's going back and forth?! Really?!? Who thought this was a good idea?! Those of us that don't respond to the chats don't need to be distracted by this just because we have our website up. The normal notifications should be enough. Make it stop!
