Interactive (Co-Browsing) with visitor
Imagine, trying to help someone 'learn' a process by demonstration (or by leading them) to pages. The chat already shows what page they're on. If that link could open a new window or modal, and you could say something like "Look at the upper right corner of your window" - the operator then clicks their screen which in turn 'highlights' (possibly with a heatmap style pulse on their page), at which point the admin continues "Here you'll type your login information and press the submit button" .. cutting edge opportunity here for tawk.to for interaction. ;)

@Nick: They could just provide a callback when user receives a message from the agent. This way you can implement your buzz very easy. I just dont understand why they refuze? It's a 5 minute work.
And, if they actually give access to that event, we can develop cool new features in parallel and contribute even more to this cool service.

It would also be great if we could send over a command to make the customer's chat window vibrate, buzz or ring to remind them in case they missed the initial "ping" sound when I've replied.

Any update??

This feature can be extended for special things, example: push items into users basket. To have full controll over the functionality you could also look at my request.
It solves your need and also more:

the function should have this structure:
onMessageReceived(message, callback) {
//your code
callback(message);
} -

There would be great to have an event when the user receives a message from the agent. This way we could implement different actions for clients:
eg: add item to basket, redirect user to a certain page, etc. -

This has been in development for 2 years. Is there any update on this?

This is already available in various other plugins and one feature I asked the guys about before installing tawk.
The way to look at this is: Treat visitors as if they are stupid. Everything needs to be dumbed down for them for them to get the best experience. +1 for for this.

I would use this product if co browsing was enabled, so before chat, the user asks a question and is directed in the site to help
