Extraction of customer name for shortcuts: example: Hello %visitor.name%, My name is.....
it would be useful to have a the ability to create a Greeting/Hello shortcut with a feature such as %visitor.name% so end users receive a more personalised experience... it might also be useful to enable tawk.to attendees to include %agent.name% which would automatically extract the attendees name and add it to the personalised message

To All Our Valued Users, Thank you for choosing tawk.to and for reaching out. The feature allowing users to enhance Shortcut functions with personalization is currently being constructed. Our engineers are working on it, and updates will be posted once it is implemented. If you have any other questions, require assistance, or just want to talk to someone at tawk.to, here is our calendar link: https://calendly.com/tawk-to-support/tawk-to-customer-support. We're happy to help!

Also a %user% placeholder, for the user who started the chat.

Yeah if i ask a client to give name or e mail or else.. Why we dont have a way/shorcut to use this info like "hello, /name how i can help you?"

Making it fully customizable would be awesome... We choose placeholders, we choose what it show, we choose actions on hover, we choose actions on click...

clicking %agentname% would open a new tab to the agent profile page (if he/she enabled it)

It would be great to have placeholders, like %agentname%, %agentalias%, %departement%...
This will make us able to make such things, with just /hi shortcut:
"Hi, I'm %agentname%, from %department%, how can I help you today?"
Also, hovering theses placeholders would show additionals informations, such as profile for agentname, or description for department...

I agree with this. Having the ability to have variables to reference a few more suggestions are %Name of Customer%,
%Department%
%Good Morning, Afternoon Etc% -

Basically if you set a trigger , with a chat rescuer, you can type the message for example Hello %NAME%, we cannot help you please call our offices, and when the client gets it it comes out Hello Ethan, we cannot help you. If there is no name filled in nothing gets put in.

Possibility in shortcuts to put the name of the operator so that we can create a general ticket. For example : /start Hi ! I'm *name*......

Yes I agree, we used another popular Chat before finding this little gem, and they had this facility and it is an EXCELLENT feature! Please implement?

It should take automatically customer name or user ID after login, and customer can see his chat history whenever he logged in to the application.

Create variables so that we can make public shortcuts but so it can be worded right. Ex: "Hello {ClientName /If Any}, My name is {AgentName}. Please wait while I review the information you put before the start of this chat." The "{ClientName /If Any} & {AgentName} are variables.

E.g. when I type /hello, it should send
Hello (visitorname)! My name is (agentname). How can I help you?

To personalize your conversation, simply insert our Shortcut variables into any message:
{{visitor_name}} – Visitor’s name
{{visitor_email}} – Visitor’s email
{{visitor_city}} – Visitor’s city
{{visitor_country}} – Visitor’s country
{{visitor_browser}} – Visitor’s browser
{{agent_name}} – Agent’s name
{{agent_email}} – Agent’s emailThese Shortcut variables will automatically create targeted messages for your visitors.

Great idea - ties in with being able to let tawk.to know who the user is: http://tawk.uservoice.com/forums/228427-feedback/suggestions/8788435-visitor-notification
