And for "tawk app" users? It has to be possible to detect inactivity.

hi, we desperately need this auto-invisible feature otherwise we will change chat, we can't afford to keep loosing chat requests just because the operator forgets to put on invisible mode when he/she goes to the lou

Any update on this feature?

@tommy that would indeed be a great way to have this option without ever having a false-positive away

I would like the icon to disappear if the user is idle after a set amount of time. We keep loosing chats because of this. So following the present logic of the script, the mode should auto change to invisible, not to away

Me too. Manually changing agent status to away is fine if that persons job is mainly focused on web chatting, as there is a focus on it, but in my companies case we are not tied to our desks, its not unusual for us to wander off. If nobody is at their desk and a live chat comes in, our customer does not have a good experience.

I second that, but there should be an option to hide the widget like for the invisible status. We don't want the widget to appear when there's nobody to answer

Please do it, I keep loosing chats because I forget to switch to away. This is an extremely important feature for a live help system. Thanks (this is the one of the best live chats I've ever tried anyway)

It's abslolutely necessary otherwise the chance of missing incoming chats are very high. At first I thought that the idle feature was related to the auto-away, but it's not.
Please introduce the auto-away after X seconds/minutes of inactivity -

Yes, please I badly need the autoaway, I'm fed up of missing chats.

Would be great if the Windows App would automatically change an agent's status to away if the computer is locked or not used (no mouse or keyboard activity in x minutes), and available again when unlocked or activity. This is a common feature on most chat programs and would really help in making sure, for small businesses with only a single agent, that the chat doesn't go unanswered if they step away for a few minutes without remembering to change their status.

Now that there is a browser idle detection would be really straightforward to implement the auto-away feature. All the best live help system have it!

People like me who run a business on a small scale don't have people just dedicated to live help, so you end up doing many things at the same time, therefore the risk of missing incoming chats from visitors is normally quite high, specially if you leave the desktop for a while, doing other things
I know there are the apps, but it's not the same thing.
If the browser could auto log off the operator who is idle (away) for a set amount of time the risk is minimized. -

+1 For this feature!
I'd like for admin to be able to set a global setting which sets any agent to Away after X minutes of unavailability.

Set my status to 'away' or 'invisible' after a set amount of time of inactivity. (on the windows app). When i walk away from my desk I sometimes forget to change my status to away.

I also second this feature. This feature is available in many IM and chat today.

I would love to see the OSX and Windows app changing status to away (or invisible as an option) when the screensaver starts or the monitor is switched off (power saving mode). This will be very useful if one of the agents forget to sign off when leaving for the day.

I would love it if the logic for auto away is like this;
1. Agent forgets to set invisible
2. Visitor engages the chat
3. Chat rescuer forwards to leave a message
4. Since agent didn't answer, set status to invisible or away depending on preferences
