    We currently do not have an option for customizing the bubble chat icon.

    You can, however, personalize the Attention Grabber by uploading your own image/logo.

    At this stage, we only have the Pre-Chat Form to get the details of the visitor before the chat.

    An alternative method is to create a shortcut/canned response or trigger message asking for your visitor’s information.

    Hi,

    This is Sienna from tawk.to. Thank you for reaching out.

    We currently do not have an email or Pre-Chat Form to send to your customers when you’re away or miss a chat.

    To capture visitor details and let your customers know they’ll be contacted later, you can create a Chat Rescuer Trigger.

    This trigger sends an automated response in the chat when agents don’t respond within a set length of time. You can edit your Chat Rescuer Trigger to include a message asking for each visitor’s contact information. The trigger time can be set from 10 seconds up to 1 hour.

    For example, if no agents have responded to an incoming chat for 20 seconds, the Chat Rescuer Trigger can be set to spring into action with a message like this:

    “Thanks for your patience. We are currently unavailable at the moment, please leave your name and email and…

    We currently don’t have a feature that will automatically include your customer’s name in the message.

    An alternative way to capture your customer’s details is to use the Pre-Chat form.

    The form will require the visitor to fill in the fields such as their name and email address, a phone number and location.

    Once you have retrieved your customer’s information, you can send them a personalized message.

    You can even create shortcuts for repetitive replies and add their name before sending the message.

    These canned responses can be used while chatting with visitors. They save you time and make sure your responses are accurate and consistent. They also ensure spelling and grammar are correct.

    Please note: The Pre-Chat form can act as a deterrent to some visitors and in turn reduce your engagement rate. Statistically, using…

    There is currently not an option to automatically send a form in response to a visitor’s question.

    At this stage, our forms options include a Pre-Chat Form and an Offline Form.

    Message alerts currently appear in the title page area of the browser as ‘browser tab notifications.’

    At the moment, we don’t have a feature for highlighting the chat button.

    This new update can add a Knowledge Base search bar to the widget, so your visitors can search and find answers before starting a chat. Our Widget Card feature also lets you show articles, list articles in a Knowledge Base category or share a video in the widget.

    You can search articles in your Knowledge Base according to the keyword.

    If the articles contain a word you are searching for, it will appear in the search results.

    I have personally tested this search function and. EG. When I search for the keyword “group” – all articles containing that word show up in the search results.

    Alternatively, you can follow these suggestions:

    1. Direct Chat Link/Profile Page

    Your visitor can directly send you a message using your Direct Chat Link/Profile Page.

    This is useful when returning visitors want to reach out to a specific Agent.

    2. Pre-Chat Form

    A Pre-Chat Form requires a visitor to answer a set of questions before a chat commences.

    In your Dashboard, click the Admin gear icon in the left sidebar.
    Select Widget Content.
    Enable the Pre-Chat form…

    Hi,

    Thank you for choosing tawk.to and for sharing your challenge here.

    By default, the emails your visitors receive follow the most commonly-known ticketing format.

    Your visitor needs to reply to an email for the ticket to be set to ‘Pending.’ This is the only way your visitor can type a message above the ticket line message (##- Please type your reply above this line -##").

    The greetings can only be modified separately if you remove the Pre-chat form.
