    .json is the current format used by tawk.to when exporting contacts and chat history. However, we are in the process of changing the export format and the new feature will be available soon.

    Alternatively, you can use this tool for file conversion:

    Collect the pre chat form emails and add them to a list. Then we need an ability to export the collected lists via csv or txt files so that we can add them to our mailing lists. Offcourse if anyone wants a GDPR complaint checkbox in the pre form then that's a bonus feature that can be added.

    You can export Contacts under the Messaging section.

    Here’s the process of exporting the contacts:

    1. Go to Messaging
    2. Select the Property
    3. Click on Contacts under the Property
    4. Click the “download” icon on the top right side

    You will receive an email to download a .csv file containing the name and email address of all your contacts.

    We currently don’t have a “Seen” function with our chat widget.

    Our dev team are is working on a huge rollout of new updates for our Messaging product.

    We’ve acknowledged your request and have forwarded it to the dev team. They will work with this suggestion and will add the feature in due course.
