    At this stage, the only way to force a logout for an agent is by disabling their account via the Property Members section.

    Alternatively, you can set up a Scheduler.

    The Scheduler’s purpose is to make the chat widget go offline even if the agent is logged in.

    Once the Scheduler is activated, you don’t need to worry about whether or not your agents forgot to log out.

    Example:

    Let’s say you’ve scheduled your widget to appear online from 9 AM – 5 PM. If you log in before 9 AM, you can still monitor your visitors without receiving any chats. However, your chat widget will stay offline and the visitor will get the offline form.

    The same thing happens when the clock hits 5 PM. Even if there are agents online, the chat widget…

    This function is currently available in your tawk.to Dashboard.

    The ‘Disable browser tab notification’ setting stops alerts from showing up in the page title of your browser.

    Follow the steps below to enable these settings:

    1. Administration tab > Chat Widget
    2. Notification Settings > toggle the ‘Disable browser tab notification’ to the on position

    It doesn't sound like Tawk.to is interested in fixing this. When I asked: Why can’t each copy of a chat transcript be tailored to the recipient’s timezone?

    From Kevin in support@tawk.to :

    The timezone of email notifications is set to GMT +0. The reason this cannot be changed is because the assignee and visitor may be in different time zones.

    The widget size can be modified if you choose to have the ‘rectangular shape’ as your chat widget. You can also change the message that appears on the minimized chat widget in the Widget Content settings and even modify how sharp the edges appear.

    Font and other size features of the chat widget have already been submitted to our engineers.

    Your request is acknowledged and updates will be posted once the feature has been implemented.

    We currently don’t have a feature for assigning Departments to specific landing pages.

    Here’s how the department function works in the tawk.to chat:

    ​1. Chats can be assigned to departments. All Agents, including those who are not assigned to a chat, can see the incoming chats. However, only those who are assigned to the department will get a notification.

    ​2. This allows for easy chat take-over, especially if the transfer is from one department to another.

    3. ​In departments, other agents only hear the notification sounds if there are no agents currently online in the department the visitor has selected. So the only time it rings for all agents is when a department is selected that has no agents currently online. This is to prevent the chat from going unanswered.

    Hi!
    If the pre-chat form was filled by user, it will remain until visitor session is not ended – if he reopens the ongoing chat session.
    If user return after session ended and by cookies he is recognized as same user – his pre-chat form will be filled with name, email, phone, but other fields like department, message input, multiple choice answer – cleared.
