  1. Memory leak on page refresh

    Since Chrome version 64 the tawk.to javascript widget will continually increase its memory footprint until the web page is unresponsive.

    This can be replicated on the tawk.to website by either refreshing the home page multiple times, or browsing between pages that contain the widget, or more slowly just leaving the page open will increase the memory usage.

    Refreshing or browsing will increase the memory footprint by about 30MB to 60MB at a time.

  2. Detect page title change for single page applications, for frameworks like angularjs, emberjs

    When embedding tawk.to into a single page application, as the user navigates between pages, these are not recorded as there is no page load.
    The widget of course remains on the page, which is good, and can be controlled via API. There is no (documented?) way to notify tawk.to that the user navigated to another page in the single page app.

    A simple API call like
    Tawk_API.newUrl("https://whatever.com")
    would allow a single page app to transmit this information to the widget.

  3. Customize widget colors, bubble for online/offline status

    The color of the chat widget is currently green (or other color chosen in dashboard) whether you are online or not.
    I would like the widget icon/color to be red instead of green when the chat is in offline status.

    The Bubble Chat only appears when the widget is online. We have our Widget on a schedule and would love to have the bubble when the widget is offline too.
    Can bubbles also change the name into " Click Here" in order to remind the visitors that he can leave offline message for us.

  4. Triggers with input fields, instead of pre-chat form

    We noticed a large drop in chat requests after activating the prechat form but of course we'd still like to have the opportunity to respond to the contact if we miss them. It would be great if the option to load a from could be added to the triggers. For example, something exactly like the prechat form but it opens after a time limit when no one responds. It would of course need a customizable message as well, something like "Sorry no one is available right now. Please provide your name and either phone number or email address and we…

    Thank you for the suggestion!

    Pre-chat form like we have now won’t be good since will cover the chat – so that request title can be kinda misleading when it will be searched by other users, reviewed by us in future.

    We have a request to make “Chat rescuer” trigger with input fields:

    But I can’t merge your request into it, since I presume you want any trigger to have input fieds – maybe we can rename your request to sound like “Triggers with input fields” / “Triggers like pre-chat form” or other how you would like it to be.

    We had plans on changing current pre-chat into form of conversation with a bot – in chat bot asks for example visitors name and visitor can type it like he would type a message. But, unfortunately, difficult to say when we can start on implementing such functionality.

  5. Enable users to change font type and size on the chat Widget

    It would be cool to be able to change the font type and size on the chat Widget. Sometimes I want the widget to look smaller. I can change the size of the dimensions in the "Widget Appearance", but the "Minimized Height" can't be less than 40 at the moment.

  6. Ability to turn off dynamic title

    On new message, the tab title will now change to "NUM new message". It would be nice to have an option to disable it.

  7. Dark Theme

    Hi everyone,

    My suggestion is the dark theme for the main panel, large companies like YouTube (Google), Twitter or Twitch accept this theme!

    This color is great because it does not force your eyesight.

  8. Zendesk integration

    Hello guys,

    We work with Zendesk and Zopim , but we assess the Zopim and he has not been a good tool for our Company.

    We were then presented to the Tawk . The problem is that there is no integration with Zendesk .
    There is a possibility desevolver the Tawk for Zendesk ?

  9. Google translate option

    Please provide a google translation option to directly translate the user language into english if the customer default language is not english and vice versa

    So if the customer is from Germany and if he is typing in German then our system should translate into english for the agent and when agent type anything , System should translate it to German for the customer.

    Above feature is already available with many other chat providers. Please build this as this is very important feature.

  10. Dynamic language change through API

    It would be great to add dynamic language change. For example when a visitor changes page language from english to german, the widget language changes accordingly.

  12. Admin Logoff function

    The ability for an administrator to log off people who have forgotten to log out at the end of the day. Thereby stopping missed calls when there is no one really there but the system thinks there is!

    Are you planning to integrate your software with Telegram? It'd be very convenient to receive messages straight to the messenger. Or maybe there's some way to integrate it?

  14. Add static ID or Class to Iframes

    To make changes to Tawk.to App stuff you have to access the Iframes document object model.

    Its not too hard but for convience it would be nice if each iframe had a static ID or Class.

    Atm everytime you refresh the page the id's refresh to a new unique one.

    And they dont have an actuall class.

  15. Add a public facing knowledge base

    It would be great to integrate a public knowledge base like the one you guys have: https://www.tawk.to/knowledgebase/ So that customers can search for their own answrs first or when chat is offline. This will minimize the amount of chatting and ticket submissions for simple questions.

    Hosting that on a white label space like support.yourdomain.com via CNAME records would be best so that the user never feels like they've left your site.

    Custom headers/footers and navigation would help with the experience.

    I would like to be able to reduce widget icon size and position in pixel. Because on mobile I feel like there is too much space between widget and the edge of the screen also the icon is a little bit too big.

  18. Allow users who pay to remove branding to also have the ability to add custom CSS!

    I understand that many believe that custom css should never come free, since users could then simply find methods to hide the tawk.to branding.
    However, if the user paid to remove branding, theres no point in not letting them add custom css either!
    Custom CSS can let site developers set custom fonts on their site, or adjust the margins and padding of the chatboxes, or over-ride the 'max-height' limitations that the chatbox imposes.
    I like chatboxes that use the 'max-height:50%' feature, because then it'll make the chatbox stand out and appear better on a large screen, than crammed down on…

  19. Would like the ability to change departments after closing a chat.

    When someone comes to our website they are able to choose a particular department. However once they exit the chat and initiate another chat, they are not able to choose a new department. Even if they return a month later, it defaults to the originally chosen department. Often our customers return to our website with different questions and issues, but can't then choose the correct department to route the chat properly, unless the customer had cleared their cookies. Would like to have clients be able to choose a department every time they initiate a new chat.

    Hi!
    If the pre-chat form was filled by user, it will remain until visitor session is not ended – if he reopens the ongoing chat session.
    If user return after session ended and by cookies he is recognized as same user – his pre-chat form will be filled with name, email, phone, but other fields like department, message input, multiple choice answer – cleared.
