Margin, offset for chat position
allow admin to add margin to the window chat so it won't cover anything
Hi, Thank you for choosing tawk.to and for reaching out. We currently don't have a feature for changing the margin settings of the chat widget. The tawk.to chat widget offers six different positions from which you can choose: top and bottom corners, middle-right side and middle-left side. We have just released a major update to our chat widget. You can now set a separate position for your chat widget on Desktop and mobile devices. Follow these steps to change the position of the chat widget on mobile: 1. Click the Administration cog in the lower-left corner of your Dashboard. 2. Select Chat Widget. 3. Under Widget Appearance, select Advanced. 4. Under Mobile Widget, select your preferred Mobile Widget Position. I have a problem that I can not solve with my theme developer either
The answer received on your chat
We came in contact with a person on the chat on https://www.tawk.to. In connection with my problem, the chat is overlaid over the menu bar on mobile, the menu bar is at the bottom and the chat covers my shopping cart, so I can not use the chat. The answer received on your chat: chat is not displayed correctly on the site due to the menu at the bottom.
My developer's answer to the chat that covers the bottom menu
I don't wanna be rude, but that's a bullshit. you can tell this to chat module developer. There is no "normal" position for mobile website navigation. If they try to investigate - bottom navigation are becoming more and more popular last two years. Also any NORMAL module, which have only 4 position of fixed element - should have option to increase or set paddings from the sides. If you don't give your customers these options - at least don't do tons of inline styles with !important, which doesn't mean anything, but prevent customization of position.
Can you change the chat to display the chat just above the menu at the bottom or how to move chat to 80px from bottom.
Can you make an update to solve this problem appearing on the bottom-up menu web site?
The current positions break the UX, should have an option for custom location or offset the button a bit if need it, on our site, the chat button overlap some key buttons, I need to move that, this is very simple css, nothing else.

All features are great , but there just one issue in your chat widget.
I use tawk.to for almost an year, but theres just one thing.
Give a bottom offset which can allow me to raise the widget a bit above and make my checkout button visible to user which is fixed to bottom.
Websites using fixed bottom navigation can not use it as our desired position.
Just give an bottom offset to
Yes - i agree with this request. Sometimes we add buttons like "share this" or "addthis" that are sticking on the bottom of the mobile page. The chat bubble is above the buttons. If we could for example shift up the chat bubble with 20-30pixels it would be great.
Allow fine-tuning of closed chat bubble position by providing a custom 'bottom margin' and 'right margin' for bottom right positioned bubbles
We have to do that we could change the position of the widget in a smooth band. Here I specifically need to raise the widget to 20px

Currently, sites with static bottom footers or static top menus must have the tawk widgets overlapping those areas when minimized.
An option to define top or bottom margin of the minimized widget would be nice.

Is there any plan to at least allow developers to adjust bottom, left, right, top positions thru js api calls? The pages nowadays are dynamic with a lot of elements that users can interact with and such rigid restrictions on simple positioning of one element do not out weight the usability of widget :(
This is a great idea and it should be implemented.
Right now you can make it in the center on side or corners, where i would like mine is the bottom right but as i cannot fine tune the location its not useable for me in that location. I am suggesting to add the ability on top of top left/bottom right to move the widget up down left or right in px or another form for padding it out
Hello! Please create the ability to set different position chat window on the site in the desktop version and the mobile version. Thank you!
Would like the ability to set in pixels the space offset from the left or right side of the screen. Thanks.
It would be great, if I could set the chat on every place of my website. Every website is different programmed, so the position on the right bottom place is not optimal for every web site...
