Integrate with Slack Platforms
Slack is a platform for team communication: everything in one place, instantly searchable, available wherever you go. Slack is free to use for as long as you want and with an unlimited number of people.
With Tawk.to integrated to Slack, it will make mine and all users working life simpler, more pleasant and more productive.

To All Our Valued Users,
Thank you for choosing tawk.to and for reaching out.
Full Slack integration with tawk.to is currently unavailable.
However, you can set up workflow automation through Zapier.
For example, you can trigger a specific action in Slack when a chat ends, when a new chat starts, or when a new ticket is created.
Read more and get started here: https://developer.tawk.to/zapier/.
This suggestion has been submitted to our engineers and we will post updates once the feature has been approved and implemented.
Should you have any questions, require assistance, or just want to talk to someone at tawk.to, here is a link to my calendar: https://calendly.com/siennarubio/30min. I’d be happy to help!

My company would like an integration with slack so we can talk to customers on our website and talk to them through slack

>" As we are a messaging platform, it does not make much sense to integrate with Slack currently."
This is a non sequitur - it makes no sense. Slack is a "communication tool" per Wikipedia, and as this is defined here as a messaging platform, I suggest it makes a LOT of sense to bring them together.
Being able to respond to potential clients from the same communication platform we use and have always open would help clear up the workspace and make us more responsive. Please reconsider.

Slack integration is important for us too. A simple notification when a user starts a chat session would be enough.

Slack integration is the very first thing I thought of and looked for. Slightly disappointed to find it does not exist which means I must monitor two tools for notifications/messages.
And therein lies the point...!

Make an open API where Slack, Cisco Spark or other multi chat platform would be available?

Drift, Talkus, Chatlio, Slaask all come up when looking for slack live chat.

I think this was a good idea to not integrate with Slack since you so most of the chat functions Slack is capable of right in tawk. Commerce and analytics and attribution integration should be a higher priority!

I'd like to politely disagree. Slack is an inter-organizational chat platform, used primarily for quick communications within teams.
An integration with slack would be incredible. It could allow users to manage both their inner organizational communication and extra organizational communications from one place. I'm actively seeking a web chat platform that will sync with slack because I believe that it will increase the productivity of my sales team. The less programs they need to have open to do their jobs the better.

Ever wonder why so many people love Drift? Well one of the reasons is their integration with slack on the answering side. I'm willing to pay and even help develop this feature myself if it comes to it.

Dear Admin, it seems you don't know Slack or you don't understand the users need. We like many other companies use Slack and we love it. It makes no sense to have many other tools with redundant or duplicate features. Thus, an integration between Tawk-to and Slack makes total sense from a users perspective. I would like to have all communication in one place and not in dozens of apps.
