    Once installed, you can choose the tawk.to app to run automatically at startup in Windows.

    You can follow any of the following recommendations as a way to secure visitor details.

    1. Modify your Basic Site Trigger message.

    By default, your "Welcome" or Basic Site Trigger is configured to fire after 30 seconds delay as soon as a visitor stays on your site. You can modify that trigger message by asking for their name and email address.

    2. Activate your Chat Rescuer.

    This trigger is used to auto-respond to messages if agents don't respond in time. You can set a delay message to trigger anywhere between 10 seconds, and up to 1 hour.

    Example: If no agents responded to an incoming chat for about 20 seconds, the Chat Rescuer Trigger can be set to spring into action with a message like this - "Thanks for your patience. We are currently unavailable at the moment, please leave your name and email and we will get back to you ASAP."

    3. Add a pre-chat form.

    You can add a Pre-Chat Form requiring the visitor to answer set questions before a chat commences. Fields can include their name and email address, even a phone number and location. However, be aware the form can act as a deterrent to some visitors and and in turn reduce your engagement rate. Statistically, is known to reduce engagement by up to 37%.

    Once you have a visitor's details, chats can be converted to tickets and responded to at a later date (via the messaging tab in your dashboard).

    Automation is a feature on our product roadmap. Our engineers are working on this feature and updates will be posted once it has been implemented.

    As an immediate alternative, you can edit the text box in the header of your offline form referring visitors to your FAQs or to your tawk.to Knowledge Base. For more info: https://help.tawk.to/article/modifying-chat-widget-greetings

    You can track the activities of your Knowledge Base by selecting the Reporting section of your dashboard. Here you are able to monitor what visitors search for, what they reach, and any feedback they provide.

    You can access the Reporting section by clicking Reporting (Graph icon of the left sidebar bar, 6th icon from the top). Then select the site or tawk.to page you want to view from the dropdown menu at the top left of the Reporting screen.

    We currently don't have this feature, however, we have submitted this request to our engineers for assessment. We will provide an update should this feature be approved.

    As an alternative measure, you are able to block spammers by banning a visitor's IP address - this will prevent the visitor from accessing the widget on your site. Visit this link for more info: https://help.tawk.to/article/banning-a-visitor

    The widget size can be modified if you choose to have the 'rectangular shape' as your chat widget. You can also change the message that appears on the minimized chat widget in the Widget Content settings and even modify how sharp the edges appear.

    Multiple agents can join a chat and answer the end-user but you can't create a "group chat" internally on your dashboard UNLESS you invite the client to the conversation as an agent.

    You can add the client to the group since chats are only accessible to all your agents/admin. It allows you to chat with agents/admin in an asynchronous conversation.
