    To All Our Valued Users,

    Thank you for choosing tawk.to and for reaching out.

    This how the chat widget behaves on a mobile device:

    1. If the chat widget is configured as a POPOUT, the chat widget will open in a separate tab purely for a chat.

    Visitors will have to come back to the main tab if they wish to navigate your website.

    2. If the chat widget is configured to MAXIMIZE, the chat widget will open within the current tab and the chat widget will follow the visitor as they navigate your website.

    It will notify the visitor if there is an unread message in the same way it would for a text message on a mobile phone — a little red 1 or 2 appears on the widget.

    To configure the chat widget behaviour, do the following:

    1. Click the Administration Tab
    2. Select Chat…

    Alternatively, you can download your monthly report from the Reporting section of your dashboard.
    You can view reports including the following information:

    Hi Hasan,

    I wanted to get clarification about the phone number link you're referring to.

    Do you mean that you wish to be able to send a phone number to your user as a link with an option for an automatic phone dialer? If this is the case, we currently don't have that feature.

    Both SMS functionality and a voice dialer are already on our development roadmap.

    We will post updates once the feature has been approved and implemented.

    At the moment a Trigger will run when one of three conditions has been met:

    1. When a visitor has loaded the chat widget
    2. When a visitor requests a chat
    3. When a visitor sends a chat message

    If you wish to run the Trigger only when the user clicks the chat widget, you can set the Trigger to option 2 or 3. This means your customers still need to initiate a chat for the Trigger to run.

    We don't have a pre-chat form field allowing country code selection for mobile numbers.

    Alternatively, you can add a phone number field and edit the text to request the additional code. For example, "Input Phone Number With Area Code."

    I wanted to clarify if the time out session you are referring to is the Monitoring section or the visitor's active chat session?

    For Monitoring: By default, monitoring will go into sleep mode if Agent has been inactive for 10 minutes. You can change the time period before Sleep Mode activates or Disable the monitoring section from going into Sleep Mode.

    For Active Chats: The session will end after 20 minutes of inactivity.

    We have taken note of your suggestion of prolonging the session and will post updates once the feature has been approved and implemented.

    I would suggest creating an Advance Trigger for this type of scenario.

    OPTION 1:

    The Trigger will fire if the visitor status is Away.

    Away means that the visitor is on your website but has been inactive for more than 10 minutes.

    You can do this as follows:

    2. Select Trigger Type > Advanced
    3. Type the Trigger Name and Description
    4. Under CONDITION > When a visitor has loaded the chat widget

    If you are referring to the order of Knowledge Base articles, it is now possible to customize the sequence of your articles.

    You can now present your articles in the correct sequence for completing a task or simply make it easier for your customers and team to find the most frequently requested articles first.

    Hi Simon,

    All properties have a random background color with the first alphabet letter of their website (Example: letter "S" for simon.com) generated as the default Property Image.

    I would suggest updating the Property Image with your COMPANY LOGO.

    This will help you easily identify different properties on your Dashboard.

    Follow the steps below to update your Property Image:

    1. Administration > Overview
    2. Property Image > Modify Property Image
    3. Upload Photo

    The next time your agent visits your website, their name will now appear under the MONITORING section. They will still be included in the statistics report. However, you can now identify which visitors are your agents and which are your actual visitors.

    To remove the "Message Us" icon on your Knowledge Base, you need to disable the chat widget function.

    The chat widget on your Knowledge Base is linked to your tawk.to Dashboard. Disabling the chat widget will stop it from appearing on your Knowledge Base site.

    At the moment, there is no option to modify the words "Message Us."

    To disable the function, follow the steps below:

    1. Administration Tab > Knowledge Base
    2. Under Chat Widget > None
