+1 For this, Being able to fill Pre chat form fields would be very useful from the Javascript API. For example, we have a Company field we would like to autofill.

LiveZilla's API returned this info, But sadly they have stopped development. So we have started migrating to Tawk. But without the ability to get the tags on a chat via API or Webhooks we can't start using Tawk yet.
Most other things are actually better than LiveZilla. Except for the tags API/Webhook and the ability for agents to end a chat.
There is feedback for manually ending a chat which was opened in 2017. Sadly no progress.
I hope this feature and the tags feature get added soon. Otherwise we will be forced to find another product :-( Which we really don't want to do.
