    We currently don’t have a feature for changing the margin settings of the chat widget.

    The tawk.to chat widget offers six different positions from which you can choose: top and bottom corners, middle-right side and middle-left side.

    We have just released a major update to our chat widget. You can now set a separate position for your chat widget on Desktop and mobile devices.

    Follow these steps to change the position of the chat widget on mobile:

    1. Click the Administration cog in the lower-left corner of your Dashboard.
    2. Select Chat Widget.
    3. Under Widget Appearance, select Advanced.
    4. Under Mobile Widget, select your preferred Mobile Widget Position.

  2. Would like the ability to change departments after closing a chat.

    When someone comes to our website they are able to choose a particular department. However once they exit the chat and initiate another chat, they are not able to choose a new department. Even if they return a month later, it defaults to the originally chosen department. Often our customers return to our website with different questions and issues, but can't then choose the correct department to route the chat properly, unless the customer had cleared their cookies. Would like to have clients be able to choose a department every time they initiate a new chat.

    Hi!
    If the pre-chat form was filled by user, it will remain until visitor session is not ended – if he reopens the ongoing chat session.
    If user return after session ended and by cookies he is recognized as same user – his pre-chat form will be filled with name, email, phone, but other fields like department, message input, multiple choice answer – cleared.

    Our default Basic Site Notification Trigger will automatically fire a message to all pages of your website (both main and sub-pages) when a visitor is active on your site and does not initiate a chat within the first 30 seconds.

    You can also create an Advanced Trigger to fire a second message if your visitor is still on the page after a time delay you specify.

  4. Ability to see which operators are logged on -

    I would suggest creating a group chat with your fellow agents to see whether or not they are online.

    Follow these steps to create a group chat:

    1. Click the + sign icon beside the GROUPS name located on the top left side of your Dashboard.

    2. Enter the group name and select the property members.

    3. To see which agents are online, select your new group under Group Chat. A new window will open showing all of the agents in the group and whether or not they are currently online.

    You can also create a Group Chat in the TAB SECTION, However, the online statuses of your agents will only appear within the chat conversation.

  5. Wildcard for triggers

    I would love to send a trigger to all users doing a search on my site. However, this is not possible, as each search generates a URL with the search term in it. Other chat services offer wildcards, so I could enter the URL as http://beta.vraagalex.nl/?action=search&page_id=6&dosrch=1&q=*, where * can be replaced with any value.

  6. Have on mobile pop up with a trigger-message

    when the trigger start, the trigger sentence have to pop up with a little screen just for the size of one sentence,, the visitor have to see it imidiatly and not just the little nomber "1" at the head of the icon
    In all chats services uts work that way

    Hi!
    On mobile we can’t change this behaviour at this time.
    Since the chat is full-screen, it would be bad user experience to interrupt visitor from viewing your website.
    On PC browser trigger will open a chat to show trigger message to a visitor.

    Our Scheduler allows you to manage the operating days and times of the chat widget.

    At the moment, however, we don’t have the option to schedule specific dates.

    Our Calendar product is already on our roadmap for development. Our dev team is working on this feature and will add this in due course.

  8. Direct Chat Link Variables

    On a Direct Chat Link, allow embedded variables in the link so it pre-populates the 'Name' and 'Email Address' fields for example. This would be particularly useful for e-shots.

    You can check agent response times to learn how long your customers are waiting before hearing back from an agent in the chat.

  11. Agents restrictions based on IP/Network/Country

    Other chat software are using it, NO matter you cost for it, business clients can pay for it.
    They can allow to attend chats for agents only from specific ip/network/country for better management and privacy.
    As some time have to click the links given by their customer, then when agents click then they can know their location, may be USA company is hiring indian agents and disclose indian IP.
    Business clients like to show their agents are from origin country.

    This feature is available in other software, why not you introduce it and its very quick to develop as well.

  12. Reporting API

    The reports that you produce are great but they're not exportable and so we can't connect them to the rest of our internal services.

    It would be wonderful if there was an API that we could contact to get:
    - Chats per agent
    - Missed chats
    - Chat transcripts
    - First Response times
    - etc...

    Either that, or somehow make this data exportable from your site/app somehow.

  13. Department Specific Status Messaging

    At present, all agents in all departments of a property must be set to Away in order for the Away messaging to appear in the chat widget. It would be much better if this was managed on a Department basis, as the landing page of the widget does (e.g. Dept 1 (online), Dept 2 (offline), Dept 3 (Away). If someone selects Dept 3, it should show the Away messaging if all agents in that Dept are Away. At present it doesn't if someone else is online in another Dept! Please create this feature!

    This is how the department function works for tawk.to chat.

    ​1. Chats can be assigned to departments, all AGENTS including those who are not assigned there can see the incoming chats, but only those who are assigned to the department will get a notification.

    ​2. This is so to allow easy chat take-over especially if the transfer is from one department to another.

    3. ​In departments, the other agents only hear the notification sounds if there are no agents currently online in the department the visitor has selected. So the only time it rings for all agents is when a department is selected that has no agents currently online. This is to prevent the chat from going unanswered.

    ​4. Currently, there is no set-up to hide chats from other departments.

    Alternatively, create a chat widget for each language.

    After adding a new widget, you can now set your preferred language. Create a Trigger and manually set the language.

    WPML is the biggest Wordpress pugin. I'd like the chat to show the right language. My customer's language depends on the language they chose (in WPML).

    please integrate tawk.to system with zoho CRM so that all leads(users) are came to CRM system and its very usefull because many organisation uses Zoho just need to call the scripts with URL .
