Filter out own people (by IP or name) from monitoring
We have a lot of people in our company that use the website while building new features. I see all of these on the monitoring board which is noise when I want to see the real visitors.
I'd like to filter them out.
I'd suggest to filter them out either
- by using the IP address (which is proably the easiest)
or
- by name (everyone needs to enter a name and then I add them to a group 'own people' and then they are filtered out)

To All Our Valued Users, Thank you for choosing tawk.to and for sharing your challenge here. You may try the following suggestions to identify/limit your agents under the ‘Monitoring’ section: To identify whether the visitor is your actual user or your agent, you can follow the steps below: 1. Ask your agents to visit your website and initiate a test chat. 2. Join the test chat. 3. In the top right section of your active chat window, select the ‘Details’ section (tab). 4. Rename the long auto-generated IP Address to your agent's name. You can also add their email address. 5. Save all settings. The next time your agent visits your website, their name will now appear under the ‘Monitoring' section. You can ban the IP Addresses of all admin and agents. Once banned, the widget will be hidden and will not be visible in the monitoring section. I would like to suggest to filter the user-agent header to exclude well-known search engine bots

But they (and I) want to be able to see the widget on the webpage. A better solution is to add a tag to the chat if the Ip address is yours.

Thank you Ryan Thornton.
Banning my development team's public IP seems to work. We can do this through Admin -> Ban IP. -

We could greatly benefit from this as well. :-) +1

Ditto with this feature. Filtering IP is important...

It's fairly trivial to just tell your website to do this kind of checking server side, and not include the tawk.to javascript if the request matches a specified IP.

Please could you include a feature that allows us to exlude ip addresses from the monitoring?
It would allow us to remove ourselves and our developer from the monitoring so that we will only be notified when real customers come to our pages?
Thank you

Create a filter for IP addresses so you can remove yourself from live chat view and still see the widget locally on the website. The 'Ban' option removes the widget from view until a user activates a chat.

Just started using the tool, assumed filtering out your own IP was a base feature. Please add we never want to count our traffic in the reporting or live monitor.

Great idea. The constant pop-up is really messing with my head when developing.

As google analytics do.
Ability to ignore site visits from staff/agents or workplace when one front end.

This is a good idea we use your chat in our web site http://informatica.globalsistemi.com/ and It could be useful to have a feature to remove internal IP

Please come up with this feature. It will be of great use to us. It is really confusing to see our own IP address, send messages on it thinking it is a new visitor and finding out that it is me whom I am sending it to :(

agents should have an easy way in the dashboard to activate/de-activate their own IP address or any IP address to prevent triggers from occuring when their staff is viewing or working on their own site

When we visited our own website than i see myself as a visitor.
Tawk can not filter my own IPadres so that i don't see my own visit.
Is it possible to make a filter option where i can give in my own ooutside IPadres. -

Filter people from the 'Monitoring' Tab, for example, my forum manager, so that the monitoring tab does not show him, filtered out by IP

+25!! This is a must. We often are on our own site and this is imperative for us to be able to focus on actual clients.

I often visit my own site and would like an option to prevent myself from counting as a site visitor. This helps prevent "padded" visitor stats. Also, would like for me to be hidden from the "monitoring" section so I am not always on the monitoring section. This way, our support team can focus on ACTUAL clients.

I want my office colleagues to see the widget and whether it is active etc, but I don't want to include them in the list of visitors for monitoring etc.
