Allow departments to be sorted, reordered
Currently if the department selector is included in the pre-chat form, the departments are sorted by the order in which they were created.
It would be much better if we could control the order. Alphabetical wouldn't work as that's not always the case so it would make sense to just be able to drag the items of the departments page into the order we wanted.

The ability to arrange departments in a custom order would be the best solution, or at the very least an option to sort alphabetically would be nice, and sorting those starting with numbers and symbols first would give us a little more control. We have a company that is rapidly expanding their number of locations, and maintaining the list of departments associated with each location is a huge inconvenience.
We use this to sort for regional agents. I list of 50 states becomes impossible to find for clients if they are in a random order that is always changing day to day and makes a VERY poor customer experience. We need to be able to keep this list sorted alphabetically at all times.
Currently the Prechat Form Departments are shown in creation order.
Please sort them in alphabetic order.
Creationorder makes no sense.
Would be a good addition to add.

Just had a request from various in-company departments to be able to re-order the displayed list of all Enabled departments according to need. This feature is definitely something that should be considered in the near future! Having to delete or re-organise all of the departments involved has just consumed a lot of my time where it would be best placed concentrating on IT projects.
Allow us to reorganize the order to departments in the dropdown.
It would be great if we can create the Departments and than change the disposition (visualitazion).
This because some time the user click on the first departments he sees, and would be interesting if this departments was the most important one.
If the department selector is used on the pre-chat form, the first department in the list is pre-selected for the user. Please could it not be pre-selected so that the user has to interact with that.
by choosing department the dropdown is not good at all the design is not accurate
